Somewhere beyond the sea…

This hybrid RPG/FPS game broke the mould and changed the direction of game narratives forever.

I was present at the very start of the project in the earliest concept phases. Long before there were Big Daddies and Little Sisters there were hermit-crab-like creatures that inhabited filing cabinets and freakish sea slugs that could drain ADAM from the player like a leech. The game was centred around the idea of the city being one big ecosystem, with everything having a role.

After a short stint at another studio, I re-joined the project towards the end of production and did some level layout and scripting work, notably for the Fontaine boss fight.

To this day I love the reaction I get from gamers when I say I worked on Bioshock.
